October 27: The Primary Health Care MATTERS Symposium, hosted by the Global Health Program at DFCM, will showcase the results of the Aperfeiçoamento da Gestão em Atenção Primária (AGAP) project sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). For the past two years Brazil and Canada have collaborated in a knowledge exchange project. The project shared and developed best practices and tools in primary health care (PHC) program design, development and delivery. Contributing to the exchange, a group of Canadian health professionals will be presenting on their Primary Health Care MATTERS. The symposium runs from 9:00 to 5:00 at Hart House, in the Debates Room on the second floor. All are welcome. Please register by email.

October 29:
Last day to RSVP for the November 24th DFCM Knowledge Exchange Workshop.

November 5 to 10
: Association of American Medical Colleges Annual Meeting, Washington, DC.

November 12: Annual DFCM Undergraduate Education Faculty Development Workshop on November 12 at the Vaughan Estates, on the grounds of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Registration details are coming soon. Please check the News & Events section on the DFCM website.

November 13 to 17:
North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG), 38th Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington.

November 22:
Faculty Celebration Event on November 22 at the Faculty Club from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event is by invitation only.

November 24:  
DFCM Knowledge Exchange Workshop from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at DFCM, 263 McCaul Street in room 320.  Please RSVP by Friday, October 29. Preference will be given to DFCM faculty; however, should there be spaces available, other affiliated individuals are welcome to attend. Non-faculty members will receive a confirmation by email on Monday, November 1. 

November 25:
 DFCM Research Rounds from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at The Faculty Club in the Upper Dinning Room (41 Willcocks Street, Toronto ). Please RSVP no later than Friday, November 12.

November & December:
DFCM starts recruiting faculty for CaRMS interviews.

January 2011:
CaRMS interviews take place.

January 20, 2011:

National CaRMS match results announced.

 DFCM Teaching Practices Annual Spring Workshop with the Society of Rural Physicians Meeting at Blue Mountain in Collingwood.
