Faculty Recognition
This issue we are proud to present the winners of the Undergraduate Education Program Awards which were presented on November 14, 2010 at the annual Undergraduate Education Committee’s (UEC) day-long workshop for faculty; and to recognize the faculty members who were honoured at the annual Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) Faculty Celebration Event on November 22, 1010.

The Undergraduate Education Awards program was developed to identify, recognize and award faculty for excellence in teaching in the Family Medicine Undergraduate Program. The DFCM UEC recognizes excellence in teaching with the following program awards; the nominations for all faculty are put forward by students and the hospital program directors.

The DFCM Faculty Celebration Event
The DFCM's annual Faculty Celebration event was held on Nov. 22, 2010 this year. This event recognizes winners of external awards; welcomes new faculty and congratulates senior promotions. Our Department and our faculty members are clinical and academic leaders in teaching units at the forefront of primary care renewal. Together we are shaping the future of Family Medicine in Canada.
